BURLYLAB! In this hands-on, lab-style workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of editing and mixing audio to create performance-ready tracks.Working with the free software Audacity, we’ll cover how to source music and audio clips, adjust levels, cut for time, create smooth fade-ins and fade-outs, insert sound effects, and splice tracks together You’ll receive direct guidance and peer feedback as you work, leaving with both a solid foundation in audio editing and your own custom track ready for the stage.

Students Should Bring: A computer/tablet (no smartphones), with audacity pre-downloaded (a link and instructions will be emailed in advance), headphones, and pre-downloaded audio for mixing practice. (there will be limited wifi hotspot availability).

Accessibility: Mobility modifications are not applicable to this class.
