Creative Costuming

Long before she started performing, our Teacher Feature Bettina May sewed her own clothes, and had her own cruelty-free accessory company, Coquette Faux Furriers started in 2002, designing accessories for performers like Dita Von Teese, Kitten De Ville and more. As a long-time vegan, she developed innovative ways to make glamorous costumes without using fur, feathers or leather. Many of these solutions are also more cost effective and more durable than traditional materials, and often easier to find in remote communities far from a traditional garment district. Come see samples of her work, learn innovative techniques and pick her brain with costume questions you might have.
