Interim Director: Pixie Parcelle
Pixie Parcelle grew up in rural Pennsylvania, always feeling like an outsider. She went on to college at the University of Delaware majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Sociology. While at the university, she realized there was little support for women in engineering and started an engineering sorority with 7 other women. She has continued to support minorities in technology by challenging the social norms of Big Tech and using her voice to amplify those who need it. With her engineering background, she has been a valued member of the BurlyCon steering committee by finding process improvements and implementing as necessary. Pixie is now based in Seattle. Pixie has been performer, stage manager and volunteer for over a decade in the Seattle Burlesque Scene. She is a graduate from Miss Indigo Blue’s Academy of Burlesque.
